SUPPLEMENTALS

Human Resource Management System and Applicant Tracking System:

I have conceptualized, designed, implemented and integrated over a dozen HRMS and ATS solutions. Often this process has required ERP integration with PeopleSoft based solutions or other smaller but highly customized client based solutions.

Build costs have ranged between $150,000 and $500,000. I am also well versed in managing the build of job related portals making use of supporting websites utilizing ATS features, search engine optimization tools for jobs and have a complete understanding of integrating those solutions with previously existing HRMS’s and ATS’s.

HR Social Engineering:

Social media is a specialty. Utilizing Search Engines, Social platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, video, classifieds, and channel marketing through traditional media initiatives to enhance candidate attraction, onboarding and employee engagement has been a catalyst for my HR successes over the past many years.

Project Management:

Project Management began nearly 20 years ago with Adobe Systems and a large scale facility move amalgamating 4 facilities in western North America into one large facility in Dallas. I was provided cart blanche management on a significantly important move for the world’s 4th largest software developer.

I continued my project management development with noteworthy projects with Alberta Health Services and more recently the Calgary Board of Education. As the PM in charge of facilitating a team of roughly 75 members for “Spring Staffing” I was accountable for the employment transitions of thousands of employees leading into the new 2010-2011 school year. Transitions include massive layoffs, significant volumes of employee changes and new jobs all culminating to a single effective date. I have accumulated over 13,000 hours of Project Management hours within Human Resources.

Education

My education typically has focused on technology. I graduated from SAIT with a System Support Certificate. The program was accelerated to one year from a typical two year program. Subsequently, I achieved a multitude of additional technological certifications. The strong educational background in technology has enabled me to push the innovation envelope within Human Resources.

Interests

I am a two-time Ironman Canada finisher and a former National Shooting Champion. I strongly believe in making a difference in myself and in my community. In addition to consistently pushing my personal limits, I also spear-head an annual toque and mitts drive for the Calgary Drop In Centre (The DI) which donates over 2500 pairs of new winter gloves every year to the organization.
